Bio:

I completed my PhD, which focused on learning from facial mimicry effects and pupil size, at Bangor University in 2013, after which I moved to LJMU and joined SOMAFFECT as a postdoc. My postdoctoral research addressed the positive affective value of CT afferent-targeted touch, and the influence of ‘CT-touch’ on autonomic states and social cognition. I began my lectureship at LJMU in 2017.

My research uses a combination of psychophysiological and behavioural approaches, and focuses on the processing of non-social cues, including facial expressions, pupil size, gaze direction and gentle touch.
